Unfortunately, many old photographs do not have the names of the people written on the back of them as is this case in this recently rediscovered photograph of the crew of a United States Life-Saving Service station, which was a sister organization of the United States Lighthouse Service. We believe this photograph was taken at the original Quoddy Head Life Saving Station near Lubec, Maine.

If any of our readers can help identify the people in this photograph, please write to Editor, Lighthouse Digest, P.O. Box 250, East Machias, ME 04630 or email Editor@LighthouseDigest.com.

This story appeared in the March 2009 edition of Lighthouse Digest Magazine.
