Another historic American lighthouse has fallen into private ownership. The federal government has sold at auction Minnesota's Duluth Harbor South Breakwater Inner Lighthouse for a mere $31,000. The new owners Sola and Matt Kampf, have no idea what they are going to do with the structure, saying, "Something will evolve, we're just not exactly sure what it is." At one time the 107-year-old tower was painted all white with a red lantern room. It is now painted black with a white lantern room and black top.
