Companies across the world develop distinctive logos to help brand their merchandise, product or name. In fact some companies are known more by their logo than by their name.

As Lighthouse Digest continues to grow, we’d like to also have a distinctive logo for our magazine, which is different than the banner we use on the cover of each issue.

Thanks to artist Pam Britton of Cutler, Maine, we’ve come up with a couple of suggested logos and would like you to vote for your favorite. Vote for “Logo Design A” or “Logo Design B.” by mailing your vote to us on a post card to Lighthouse Digest, P.O. Box 250, East Machias, ME 04630 or by e-mail to Editor@LighthouseDigest.com.

We will randomly select four names from among the votes to receive a hooded zippered sweatshirt from Lighthouse Digest with the current logo, plus we’ll give a one year gift subscription to the person of your choice.

However, to make this all a little more interesting, if you have some computer or art experience, perhaps you’d like to submit a few ideas of your own as to what our new logo should look like. If so, we welcome your design.

If we receive one or more new logos submitted that we like, we’ll publish them for an additional contest for a vote to run against the winner of the two logos shown here. If your design wins over one of the logos shown here, we’ll award you $100.00 cash and a two year renewal or new subscription to Lighthouse Digest.

Let’s hear from you, our readers, after all, this is your magazine!

This story appeared in the April 2009 edition of Lighthouse Digest Magazine. The print edition contains more stories than our internet edition, and each story generally contains more photographs - often many more - in the print edition.
