Recently the Washington Lightkeepers Association hosted a Lighthouse Keepers Reunion that was attended by approximately seventy former lighthouse keepers, lightship crewmen and descendants of lighthouse keepers. The event included a buffet lunch, commutative booklet and patch. Lighthouse book author Chris Mills, a former Canadian lighthouse keeper who has also written numerous articles for Lighthouse Digest, was the speaker for the event. Mills is also one of the founding members of the Nova Scotia Lighthouse Preservation Society; he currently works for the Canadian Coast Guard and also hosts his own radio show.
