Although the Broadwater Beach Hotel Marina Channel Lighthouse in Biloxi, Mississippi still stands, the nearby President Casino was lost in Hurricane Katrina. Currently plans are underway for a new casino to be built at the site. The lighthouse was built in 1965 as a private aid to navigation.
