Oregon’s Umpqua River Lighthouse recently received a check-up, power wash, and some exterior spot painting thanks to the efforts Douglas County Parks Department and Building Facility crews.
The Umpqua River Lighthouse is located in Reedsport, Oregon and was first lit in 1894 and is still lighted by a first order Fresnel lens; it is one of only a few lighthouses in the United States to still have a working first order Fresnel lens.
