Canada’s Sheringham Point Lighthouse in British Columbia has recently been declared a Heritage Lighthouse under Canada’s Federal Heritage Lighthouse Protection Act.
In a prepared statement, the Sheringham Point Lighthouse Preservation Society said that they wish to thank all the dedicated volunteers, the over 4,000 supporters who signed petitions and letters, the people of the community of Shirley, and the many public officials who helped make this possible.
To learn more about the lighthouse, you can order the booklet The History of Sheringham Point Lighthouse as item #2122 for $5.00 plus $4.50 shipping from Lighthouse Digest, P.O. Box 250, East Machias, ME 04630 or call 207-259-2121.
