A new plaque was dedicated at British Columbia Canada’s Sheringham Point Lighthouse, which was recently designated a Canadian Heritage Site under the provisions of the Heritage Lighthouse Protection Act.

After Senator Pat Carney (retired) and Elain Bruton of the Sheringham Point Lighthouse Preservation Society unveiled the plaque, elders from the T’Sou-ke Nation blessed the lighthouse site.

The 1912 Sheringham Point Lighthouse is located on the south coast of Vancouver Island near the community of Shirley, British Columbia, Canada,
