Fred E. and Juanita B. Koors want to know that lighthouses will be around for a long long time and that someone will continue to preserve their history and legacy well into the next millennium -so much so, that through their will, they have arranged an extremely generous and substantial gift to the American Lighthouse Foundation of Wells, Maine and the Great Lakes Mariners Memorial Campaign of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. The gift will be administered through a private foundation which will pay money to the non-profit groups from the monies that the bequeath earns. We congratulate Mr. & Mrs Koors, shown here, for their dedication to, and love of, our nation's maritime heritage and history. Their efforts will be known for many years to come.

If any of our readers would like more information on how this type of bequeath works, please write to us. Remember lighthouses and their history and heritage can only be saved for future generations through your help.
