The Wareham Police Department Patch depicts the two facsimile lighthouses that stand opposite each other on Route 28 in Wareham, MA, the "Gateway to Cape Cod." The two field-stone lighthouses are actually right in front of the Wareham Police Station.

After years of neglect, the lantern rooms on the electrified lighthouses were restored two years ago by members of the Wareham's Municipal Maintenance Dept and a local roofing company.

Members of the Wareham Garden Club maintain the grounds around the lighthouses with a constant array of colorful flowers. One of the twin towers of Wareham is shown here.

Our thanks go out to Lighthouse Digest subscriber George V. Roberts, a twenty-six year veteran of the Wareham Police Dept., for sending us the patch and photographs of the lighthouses.
