Feds Say Five Spindly Legged Lights To Be Excess Property!

The United States Coast Guard has declared five Florida lighthouses as excess property to be disposed of through the General Services Administration which will offer the lighthouses for free to any qualified applicant. The lighthouses, all of which are on the Lighthouse Digest Doomsday List of Endangered Lighthouses are American Shoal, Carysfort Reef, Sand Key, Alligator Reef, and Sombrero Key.

If no qualified applicant wants the lighthouses, then they will be sold at auction to the highest bidder.
