Other nearby lighthouses that you might want to visit are, Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse

in Mackinaw City and a boat ride out to Mackinac Island to view Round Island Light. A visit to

northern Michigan is not complete without a visit to Mackinac Island and the Grand Hotel with

the longest front porch in the world. This island, with its historic fort, quaint shops and world famous

fudge has no automobiles and all transportaion is by horse drawn buggy, bicycle, or foot.
