The Edmund Fitzgerald Honored in New Spencer-Collin Replica

Comments?

Tim Harrison of Lighthouse Digest and Cheryl Spencer Collin are shown here at the unveiling of the new Spencer Collin replica of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald with the Whitefish Point Lighthouse. The unveiling ceremony took place at the Great Lakes Lighthouse Festival in Alpena, Michigan.

The Edmund Fitzgerald is one of the most famous shipwreck disasters on the Great Lakes. The ship disappeared in a storm only 12 miles from the Whitefish Point Lighthouse on Lake Superior. The Whitefish Point Light Station now houses the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum, which is truly one of the best maritime museums in the nation. Among the many displays and exhibits at the station is the magnificent clam shell lens from the White Shoals Lighthouse.

The limited edition replica is only available through Lighthouse Depot as item #47785 for $148.00 by calling 1-800-758-1444 or at www.LighthouseDepot.com. It can also be ordered by mail by sending $148.00 plus $11.95 for shipping from Lighthouse Depot, P.O. Box 427, Wells, Maine 04090.
