New Light for Erie Canal

Comments?

The Erie Canal has a new lighthouse that was recently dedicated at St. Johnsville, NY. The idea of building a lighthouse came from Harbormaster Bernie Brandow. The town mayor (referring to the Erie Canal), said the lighthouse is dedicated “to the thousands of individuals who made this transportation marvel a reality”. It took six months to gain the necessary state and federal approval to have the lighthouse built.
