According to recent reports, New York’s 1874 Hudson-Athens Lighthouse is in danger of collapsing in five years if repairs are not made to the 200 underwater wooden pilings that the structure sits upon.

The lighthouse, located in the Hudson River in Hudson, New York, is cared for by the nonprofit Hudson-Athens Lighthouse Preservation Society, which will need to raise millions to save the historic structure.
