The Outer Banks Lighthouse Society and the National Park Service is sponsoring a Cape Hatteras Lighthouse Keepers Descendants Homecoming on May 4-6. The event, expected to draw tens of thousands of people, is scheduled fro May 4-6.
Approximately 900 descendants have been located and invited to the event, however the search continues for additional descendants. This all costs money and the entire event is being funded by donations.
