In 1992 the local community bought this lighthouse. A visitors' center and other attractions have been established.

Characteristic and Range: Two white flashes every 20 seconds.

Fog Signal: Horn was deactivated in July 2005.

Current Use: Active aid to navigation, museum, overnight accommodations, coffee shop, craft shop.

Museum?
The Headkeeper's House Interactive Centre is based in the former head keeper's house. Exhibits include "The Science of Lighthouses," an interactive understanding of light, sound, communications and construction. It is open daily from April to October. The tower is also now open to the public, with tours available from April 1 to October 31, and by arrangement at other times.
