Notes:
The first light at this location was displayed from a lantern atop the Kadalmallai temple, which still stands near the lighthouse. Much damage was done here by the earthquake and tsunami of December 26, 2004. Tower Height: 84 Height of Focal Plane: 137 Characteristic and Range: Flashing white every 10 seconds, visible for 30 nautical miles. Description of Tower: Conical stone tower with red roof.
