Notes:
This beacon formed a range with Bogue Banks Light. Both structures were destroyed during the Civil War.

Characteristic and Range: Fixed white, range 10 miles.

Description of Tower: Wooden structure

This light is not operational

Date Established: 1855

Date Deactivated: 1862

Optics: 1855: Sixth order Fresnel lens.

Current Use: Destroyed.
