Notes:
This lighthouse station was leased in 1981 to the Junior Service League of St. Augustine, and has been gradually restored since that time. The keeper's dwelling now houses a museum. The first order Fresnel lens was shot out in 1986 by a 14-year-old vandal with a 30.06 rifle. The Junior Service League raised the $500,000 it took to replace the shattered prisms. The lantern glass has been replaced with bullet-proof glass. On July 20, 2002, under the National Historic Lighthouse Preservation Act, ownership of the lighthouse was transferred from the federal government to the nonprofit St. Augustine Lighthouse and Museum.
