Isla Isabel II (or Isabel Segunda) is part of the Chafarinas, a group of three Spanish-controlled islands off the Moroccan coast, about 27 miles east of Melilla. The only inhabitants in the islands are Spanish soldiers posted on Isabel II. Spain's sovereignty over the Charafinas has been contested by Morocco. Tower Height: 59 Height of Focal Plane: 170 Characteristic and Range: White flash every 7 seconds, visible for 8 nautical miles. Description of Tower: White tower and dwelling.
