Notes:
A coal fire maintained by convicts served as an aid to navigation on Nobbys Head from 1813 to 1857. Nobbys Head was formerly known as Coal Island. The Nobbys Head Consortium plans to open a cafe here and to renovate the assistant keeper's houses for overnight accommodations.
