The manufacturer (Vega Industries Limited, New Zealand) says that this is the world's largest sector light. Diego Garcia Island, an atoll, is the largest and only inhabited island in the Chagos Archipelago. It is exclusively a UK-US military reservation and is currently closed to visitors.
