This was originally a fog signal station; a lighthouse was added in 1966.

Fog Signal: Automated horn, two second blast every 20 seconds.

Current Use: Active aid to navigation.

Directions:
White Head Island is accessible via a free 30-minute car ferry service from Ingalls Head, Grand Manan. Call (506) 662-3724 for more information. Turn right after leaving the wharf on White Head Island. You will come to a lane which will take you to Long Point Lighthouse. The road is often washed out by winter storms, and is frequently impassable.
