Photo Caption:

Cape d’Or was originally established in 1874 as a fog signal station only. The Cape d’Or Lighthouse as shown here was originally the Eatonville Lighthouse. The tower was moved to this location in 1922 to become the Cape d’Or Lighthouse in Advocate Harbour, Nova Scotia, Canada. It was demolished in 1965 and replaced by a modern white square concrete tower. (Canadian Coast Guard photo, courtesy Kelly Anne Loughery)
