Ashby after a Coast Guard lighthouse keeper marker was installed. Don F. Ashby, who followed in his father Earl’s footsteps, had a long and distinguished career in the U.S. Coast Guard and served at some of the same lighthouses where his father had served. His son, Craig, shown here in the green shirt, is also a U.S. Coast Guard veteran.
