Photo Caption:

Maine’s Moose Peak Lighthouse completed another year as the foggiest lighthouse station in Maine when the government issued its 1931 press release. In 1982, in a slap in the face to lighthouse historians, the government blew up the magnificent lighthouse keeper’s house. You can learn more about this lighthouse in the book, Lighthouses of the Sunrise County.
