In this 1929 Superintendent’s Conference photo in Washington D.C., 17th Lighthouse District Superintendent Robert Warrack stands bottom left while his successor, Ralph R. Tinkham, is on the top right. Warrack knew Gerlof well and said Gerlof’s love of Tillamook Rock was quite remarkable. He further wrote that he was one of the most faithful keepers in the Service.
