The current living room that was once the parlor of the Tchefuncte River Lighthouse keeper’s “cottage” has its original heart pine floors along with modern cypress paneling. The oval portraits on the wall are of Fritz and Margaret Jahnke, who started the Jahnke shipyard at the turn of the century on the land where the museum now resides.
