The six lighthouse dioramas shown are: top row (l-r) Port Pontchartrain (1832 – still standing as part of the University of New Orleans campus), Bayou Bonfouca (1848–1862 burned by confederate troops), New Canal (third lighthouse built in 1890 – partially destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 but rebuilt in 2012); bottom row (l-r) Point Aux Herbes (1875 – 1950s burned by vandals), Pass Manchac (1839–2012 toppled by Hurricane Isaac), Tchefuncte River (1868 – still standing).
