Genevieve “Jenny” Purington Cirone (r) is shown here with two others holding some of her beloved sheep. One time a lady called her who wanted to buy her land on Nash Island, saying that “Price was no object,” to which Jenny replied, “You’re right, price is no object, the island isn’t for sale at any price.” Jenny was born March 24, 1912 and she died on February 3, 2004.
