After the family climbed the ladder up Wedge Rock, on the other side of the rock there was a horizontal ladder which reached from the edge of the upper edge of rock to the East Trinity Headland. Here you see Fanny Cooper walking across the ladder. Barely visible is a rope that acted as the railing. This might cause you to recall images of the movie Romancing the Stone or perhaps an Indiana Jones film. But to the Cooper family, this was a normal way of life.
