Photo Caption:
Coast Guard lighthouse keepers took a moment to pose for this photograph in February of 1948 on the ice-encased Cleveland West Breakwater Lighthouse in Cleveland, Ohio. One of the men in this photo is believed to be lighthouse keeper Samuel E, Crozier. The keepers did not live at the lighthouse, but there was a kitchen and a bunk room to accommodate them when they needed to spend the night in inclement weather.
