Hillsboro Inlet lighthouse keeper Thomas Knight (1870-1938) and his wife Fannie. The name of the child on her lap is unknown. Thomas was the 2nd assistant keeper at Florida’s Cape Canaveral Lighthouse from 1902 to 1904 and then 1st assistant from 1904 to 1911. In 1911, he was appointed head keeper at Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse, a position he held until 1936, with the exception of a few months in 1919, when he served as the head keeper at Florida’s Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse.
