In January of 1964, Edward Schneider took a trip to Death Valley, California, with his sister, Mae Schneider Burnett (r) and Mae’s daughter-in-law, Gertrude Burnett. Ed was unable to cope with Mae’s death in 1967 and committed suicide 10 months later because he thought he had cancer.
