Elizabeth Dudley was born December 19, 1844 in Louisiana. In 1876, a year after Daniel McCall joined the Lighthouse Service, they were married in the old Montrose Hotel in Biloxi. She spent her entire 28 years of married life at the lighthouses on Ship Island and Cat Island in Mississippi. She died in Gulfport, Mississippi on July 19, 1922 at age 77, and is buried in the Cedar Rest Cemetery in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi.
