Walter’s granddaughter, Carol, wrote: Grandpas’ new 1941 car was white, just like the rocks. It was a two-door coupe, and I had to wiggle into the back seat when I rode with Grandma and Grandpa to go shopping in the summers when I stayed with them. Grandpa always wore driving gloves while driving; he took his hat off to drive, but always put it on when getting out of the car. (Courtesy of Judie Noffsinger) Back to the edition of: May/Jun 2022
