Point Hueneme Lighthouse was constructed very solidly, as LeRoy found out with difficulty when he tried to cut a hole in the wall to place a pull-down table. Unfortunately, the old lighthouse became a lost lighthouse when it was demolished in 1941 during World War II by the Navy. If that had not happened, it would undoubtedly still be there today.
