Merrill Poor was stationed at Ram Island Lighthouse in Maine for a short time in 1945. From there he went to Cuckolds Light Station in Boothbay Harbor from 1944 to 1945 and then he was transferred to Browns Head Lighthouse where he served from 1945 to 1955.
