In September of 1899, Guglielmo Marconi chose the Twin Lights to prove that his “Magic Box” had commercial value. Marconi believed that the possibilities were limitless, and foresaw a day when people would transmit their voices through the air to portable devices in their homes and even their pockets. (Hello radio and cell phones!) Guglielmo Marconi’s invention changed the world forever, and it all began at the Twin Lights of Navesink in Highland’s New Jersey.
