This historical image of the Tower Service Station in Kings Ferry, New York shows how the business had grown. At this time it was selling ESSO gasoline and was also either selling Ford products or was a Ford authorized dealer. Since all of the trucks lined up in front of the station belonged to B–F Transportation Lines this must have been some type of promotion photo. A local newspaper reported in the mid 1960s that A & M Service purchased the property from Fred Tuttle and the new owner’s plans to remodel the location included tearing down the lighthouse. This created some local controversy about razing the local landmark, but, in the end, down it came. (Courtesy Genoa County Historical Society.)
