Notice the helicopter on top of one the buildings here at Cape Recife Lighthouse. Roland Black, one of the regional managers for Pornet greeted the Lighthouse Depot Tour, offering them an unexpected bonus, helicopter rides to view the lighthouse by air. Although the Cape Recife Lighthouse is built on a base of rock, it is surrounded by shifting and blowing sands, and the road to the 1851 octagonal masonry lighthouse needs to be plowed of sand.
