This image of Mike Sylvester in lamp room is taken from 110 feet up, on the inside, as he primes and paints the original iron tie rods that hold the roof of the lighthouse together. The crew had just sandblasted all the metal inside the lighthouse, covered the bronze with clear coat, primed the iron in green, and were then painting the iron with a white epoxy paint before applying a final top coat. The paint job should last another 100 years.
