Photo Caption:

Although a visit by the lighthouse tender to the remote Farallon Islands Lighthouse Station off the coast of San Francisco, California often meant a visit by the lighthouse inspector, it also met that a new library would arrive. If you look closely, you will notice that this historic 1920s photo was taken from a bi-plane. Today the lighthouse is headless and what is left of the tower is rusting away.
