Photo Caption:

Vintage image of the Raspberry Island Lighthouse in Wisconsin’s Apostle Islands where Louis Wilks was stationed as head keeper from December 5, 1929 to September 27, 1933. The boat shown on the boat house had lots of use with its many trips to and from Bayfield, Wisconsin. The lighthouse is now managed by the Apostle Island’s National Lakeshore, and they have done a wonderful job of restoring and maintaining the historic light station. (Lighthouse Digest archives.)
