This image of Nancy Rose in the lantern with the lens at Stony Point Lighthouse was sketched in 1899. At that time, the lens in the lantern was a 5th order Fresnel lens, which was replaced with a larger 4th order Fresnel lens in 1904. The 4th order Fresnel lens is now on display at the museum at the Stony Point Battlefield State Historic Site. (Lighthouse Digest archives.)
