Cheryl Shelton-Roberts, cofounder of the Outer Banks Lighthouse Society reads each and every name of the keepers of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. The names have now been engraved onto the granite blocks of the original foundation of the second tower at its original location. Behind Cheryl is the Cape Hatteras Chorus who performed at the ceremony. The National Park Service has agreed to move the granite blocks when they become threatened by erosion.
