The Peshtigo Reef Lightship served for 29 years guarding the west side of lower Green Bay, Wisconsin. From 1906 to the 1912 the lightship was equipped with a fog bell. In 1912 the bell was changed to a whistle until the Peshtigo station was discontinued in 1935. Photograph courtesy of the Peshtigo Historical Society.
