Dr. Ellis Cowling of North Carolina University and Cheryl Shelton-Roberts of the Outer Banks Lighthouse Society discussing the saving of Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. Cowling served on the original Ad Hoc Committee that investigated all the possibilities on how the lighthouse could be saved. The committee came to the conclusion that the lighthouse must be moved to be saved, a position that the Outer Banks Lighthouse Society supports.
