Tim Harrison (r), president of the American Lighthouse Foundation reads the inscription on a plaque that the American Lighthouse Foundation presented to the crew of the Coast Guard vessel Ida Lewis for their efforts in the restoration of the gravesite of Ida Lewis, one of New England’s most famous lighthouse heroines. Accepting on behalf of the crew of the Ida Lewis, who could not be present, was Capt Blaine Horrocks, Chief of Aids to Navigation and Waterways Management for the First Coast Guard District.
